Platinum Pacific Partners is working with a high-growth Australian investment manager to appoint an Investment Analyst into their Sydney team. Since its launch in 2017, the firm has built a reputation as one of the most distinctive managers in the market, now overseeing more than $1.8 billion in funds under management and a fast-growing membership base. Backed by leading global investors, the business has expanded rapidly and continues to broaden its product set, guided by a forward-looking philosophy that focuses on long-term structural themes shaping the global economy.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for research coverage across a range of global equities. This will include company analysis, industry assessments, management meetings and the development of high-conviction investment ideas that feed directly into the firm’s actively managed portfolios. Alongside this, you will contribute to the smooth running of the investment process through trading support, oversight of corporate actions and proxy voting, preparation of materials for Investment Committee meetings, and engagement with brokers, custodians, data providers and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications / Requirements

We are seeking an ambitious and intellectually curious professional with 1-4 years’ work experience post university from accounting, corporate strategy, investment research, asset management, investment banking or a related field. You will bring strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate insights clearly, supported by an excellent academic record and ideally progress towards CFA accreditation. A genuine enthusiasm for financial markets is essential and demonstrated by a history of investing PA. We are ideally looking for candidates with a specific interest in healthcare, industrials, technology and communications.
