Responsible for efficiently and effectively carrying out all administrative duties associated with ward activity and patient management, including general reception duties, admission duties, medical record management and accurate data entry for all patient ward transactions using the Hospital’s PAS and Scheduling systems. Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified for this position following suitable labour market testing.

Responsible for efficiently and effectively carrying out all administrative duties associated with ward activity and patient management, including general reception duties, admission duties, medical record management and accurate data entry for all patient ward transactions using the Hospital’s PAS and Scheduling systems. Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified for this position following suitable labour market testing.
All workers and new recruits are required to receive 2 doses of a Therapeutic Goods Administration approved or recognised COVID-19 vaccine to commence employment/ engagement or continue to work within a NSW Health service.
A worker and new recruit will be considered compliant if they have a medical contraindication to all available Therapeutic Goods Administration approved or recognised COVID-19 vaccines and provide medical contraindication evidence in line with the policy requirements.
In addition, all Category A workers and new recruits are required to receive one dose of the seasonal influenza vaccine annually to be considered compliant.
Category A workers and new recruits who are non-compliant with seasonal influenza vaccination or have a medical contraindication to influenza or COVID-19 vaccinations must comply with all other infection control risk reduction strategies as directed while working in a Category A position.
- Demonstrated experience in the performance of a wide range of administrative tasks as well as reception duties in a busy work environment
- Demonstrated effective customer service skills
- Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills and effective interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to display initiative and deal confidently with people at all levels
- Demonstrated excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, demanding work environment
- Demonstrated experience using client-related database/s, MS Word and Excel on a regular basis and proven typing skills
- Ability to work independently and as an effective team member in a multi-disciplinary team
- Ability and commitment to be flexible and adaptable to workplace change
