Overview
We are looking for an experienced Senior Flight Analyst to join our team. This is a key position focused on providing our product team with flight pricings that allow us to create unique, affordable deals to bucket‑list destinations. Operating with the support and guidance of the Flights Performance Manager, your primary objective is to make travel dreams come true while maintaining a high‑quality customer experience.
Reporting to our Flights Performance Manager, this is a permanent, full‑time role. There is flexibility on location split between our Byron Bay and Gold Coast offices for an exceptional candidate. You’ll work Monday to Friday, 8am‑4pm or 9am‑5pm – you choose!
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for analysing airline routes, schedules, and prices, monitoring industry trends, and managing flight requests from the product team. This role also involves training and mentoring staff on international airfares, supporting the Flights Performance Manager with airline relationship management, and overseeing the allocation of tasks to Flight Analysts.
- Conduct in‑depth analysis of airline routes, schedules, and prices, tracking industry trends to provide competitive flight nets for our unique product offerings.
- Support the Flights Performance Manager by overseeing task allocation for Flight Analysts, documenting processes for consistency, and identifying process improvements.
- Train, mentor, and support Flight Consultants and Ticketing Team staff, sharing your deep knowledge of GDS, international fares and ticketing.
- Act as a key contact for the Product Team, managing their flight requests and extensions, communicating all airfare conditions, schedules and potential issues.
- Support the Flights Performance Manager and General Manager of Commercial Partnerships with airline relationship management, group fare negotiations, and reporting on market insights.
Qualifications
GDS trained (preferably Sabre) and extensive experience with airfares or airline yield systems.Expert in training and mentoring staff on international airfares, providing feedback on team workload allocation.Exceptional communicator with the ability to explain complex information to internal and external stakeholders.Highly accurate, organised, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and maintain a high degree of accuracy.Proactive problem‑solver with a strong ability to identify and resolve issues, make clear decisions, and implement process improvement opportunities.Benefits
