The Role

We're looking for an experienced Operations Manager to lead the safe and efficient collection and transport of commercial waste in the Newcastle region.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll ensure compliance, optimize operations, and foster a positive team culture.

What You'll Do

Oversee day-to-day operations to meet performance targets and regulatory standards.

Ensure compliance with NHVR and all relevant legislation.

Manage payroll, run sheets, DVRs, and incident reporting.

Drive fleet productivity and operational efficiency.

Identify improvement opportunities and implement solutions.

Build strong relationships with councils and key stakeholders.

Lead and mentor your team, ensuring clear roles and expectations.

Promote safety and a positive workplace culture.

About You

Proven experience in operations management within the waste industry.

Valid Class HR driver's license.

Strong Microsoft Office skills.

Contract management and waste industry experience (highly regarded).

Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.

Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.

Solid understanding of WHS & NHVR regulations.
