Forklift & Logistic Yard Hand

As the Material and Logistics yard hand you will be responsible for assisting with the coordination, management, and distribution of materials, tools, and equipment on a construction site. This role will ensure that the necessary resources are available at the right time and location to support the efficient and effective execution of construction activities.

Qualifications :

Minimum of 1-3 forklift and material handling operations

Strong knowledge of construction materials, tools, and equipment.

Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with diverse teams.

Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures on construction sites.

Some Key Responsibilities :

1 : Material Coordination & Delivery : Assist with the storage and delivery of construction materials

2 : Safety & Compliance : Ensuring that materials are handled in accordance with OSHA and other regulatory standards.

3 : Reporting & Communication : Maintain and update material tracking systems, logs, and daily progress reports.

4 : Problem Solving & Troubleshooting : Participate in resolving issues related to material shortages, equipment failures, or logistical delays.

5 : Equipment Maintenance & Care : Ensure that equipment used for material handling (e.g., forklifts, cranes, etc.) is maintained in safe and functional condition.

Ensure regular equipment inspections (prestart) and report required repairs as necessary.
