We offer extensive allied health services and are seeking to expand them to include a skilled and compassionate Podiatrist in our multidisciplinary team.
Role Overview
The Podiatrist will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating a wide range of foot, ankle, and lower-limb conditions within a GP clinic setting.
Working collaboratively with general practitioners, nurses, and other allied health professionals, you will provide integrated care to improve patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive podiatric assessments and develop personalised treatment plans.
Provide treatment for common podiatric conditions, including :
Diabetic foot care.
Ingrown toenails.
Foot and ankle pain.
Corns, calluses, and warts.
Fungal infections.
Biomechanical and gait issues.
Perform routine foot care and minor procedures (e.g., nail surgery, debridement).
Prescribe and fit orthotics as appropriate.
Work collaboratively with GPs and nursing staff regarding referrals, shared care, and patient management.
Maintain accurate clinical notes and comply with regulatory and clinic standards.
Educate patients on foot health, injury prevention, and chronic disease management.
Participate in clinic meetings and quality-improvement activities.
Essential Qualifications & Skills
Degree in Podiatry from an accredited institution.
Current registration with AHPRA (Australia) or relevant professional body for your region.
Professional indemnity insurance.
Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Commitment to providing evidence-based, patient-centred care.
Desirable Skills & Experience
Experience working in a GP, multidisciplinary, or community health setting.
Experience with diabetic foot management.
Training in biomechanics, orthotic therapy, or sports podiatry.
Interest in chronic disease management and preventive care.
