Base pay range

A$110,000.00 / yr - A$130,000.00 / yr

Role Objective - As a member of the Finance Team, the purpose of this role is to work closely with the Finance Manager – Operations to ensure the financial outcomes are in line with the Business Financial objectives, processes, and procedures.

Hybrid Role - 3 days at work and 2 days at home
Location - North Ryde, New South Wales
Full-time contract till December with a strong possibility of further extension
hourly rate - $56 an hour to $66 an hour plus super (110k - 130k plus super)

Key Responsibilities

Preparation of financial data and non-financial data for the reporting of monthly results, budgets, and forecasts, across the plants

Ensure the integrity of factory ledgers (P&L and Balance sheets) within the nominated areas of responsibility.

Assist with financial analysis, including production costs and plant efficiency.

Assist with the standard costing process across all factories.

Coordinate the stocktake process.

Risk and control assessment – specifically concerning stock procedures.

Assist with business systems projects as they impact factories and quarries.

Assist with continuous improvement to finance processes.

Assist the Finance Manager – Operations with the following analysis :

Analysis of fully costed product and plant efficiency

Analysis of raw material usage variances to ensure accurate BOMs and product routings

Opportunities for cost reduction and actively engage in the WCM (World Class Manufacturing) implementation and execution.

Identification of other profit improvement opportunities

Scenario analysis and payback calculations for capital expenditure initiatives

Benchmarking of factory reporting

S&OP planning support as required

Assist in the preparation of analysis and commentary on accounts and financial / management reports, ensuring issues and variations are brought to the attention of the Finance Manager – Operations and any other relevant persons.

Assist in the preparation of management reports, budgets & forecasts on a monthly, quarterly, and / or annual basis as required.

Assist with the annual standard costing process completed for all factories and quarries, if any.

Maintain accurate financial records and the general ledger for areas of responsibility, supported by high-quality reconciliations to ensure a common and trusted information base.

Assist in the development, implementation, and ongoing compliance of common processes across all manufacturing Master Data activities.

Implement general improvements to finance processes and reporting, employing standardised solutions and leveraging available technology to deliver reporting efficiencies.

Help with audit requirements as required.

Assist the businesses in complying with the Internal Audit requirements

Coordinate the stocktake process and attend the count, or arrange attendance by a finance representative.

Monitor the cycle count process and ensure appropriate procedures are in place across all factories.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience, Qualifications

CA or CPA Qualified

4+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment

Expertise in both accounting and controlling is required. Ability to analyse and communicate financial information

Candidate with good Customer Focus, Problem Solving and Continuous Improvement, result-oriented, working together and communicating with Impact and Ability to influence and engage stakeholders.

SAP knowledge in the Financial Accounting and Controlling modules is required
