Storeperson

Ventia is a leading infrastructure services and maintenance support company, operating across Australia and New Zealand. Our clients are the owners and operators of assets that are critical to our local communities and National Defence capability.

In partnership with the Australia Defence Force, we are seeking a  Storesperson  to join us on a Full-Time basis on our Defence Maintenance & Support Services contract at  Bandiana located in the Albury Wodonga area – on the Victorian / New South Wales border, Northeast of Melbourne.

Reporting to the Site Supervisor, you will assist with the effective and efficient delivery and control of stores and equipment, with a focus on increasing productivity for the Sites maintenance function.

This is a 38-hour Monday to Friday waged role with shift times of 7.00am to 3.45pm, Monday to Thursday & 7.00am to 12.00pm on Fridays. All uniforms are supplied.

Duties include :

• Operate basic machinery / equipment, e.g. pedestrian operated forklifts, automatic strapping machines
• Perform stores duties, e.g. stock control, restocking consumables, issue tooling, affixing labels, monitoring holding of Chemicals and participating in Stocktaking activities.
• Undertake labouring tasks associated with the receipt, transfer and stacking of stores
• Maintain work area in a clean and safe condition
• Enter re-stocking data in to a Spreadsheet

Skills and Experience :

You must be an Australian Citizen and have the ability to maintain a Defence clearance in order to be eligible for these positions, as well as be able to pass an Australian Federal Police Check and Medical Pre-Employment Checks as required by the contract.
