  • Full time, Permanent opportunity within a hybrid work environment
  • 98.3k - $110.1k per annum + Superannuation
  • About the role

The Spatial Applications Analyst shall provide technical support for the development, administration, data maintenance and resources required to deliver the 3D capabilities and modelling components of council's Corporate Geographic Information System (GIS).

Working as a member of the GIS Team based in the Information Services Unit, the Spatial Applications Analyst shall provide support and advice on geographical information, maintain GIS databases and show initiative in developing innovative GIS solutions to support organisational projects and priorities.

Other responsibilities include :

  • Manage the development of a 3D virtual model of Glen Eira and 3D visualisation, to enable urban design and planning analysis and provide technical guidelines as relevant to all stakeholders of varying levels of knowledge and experience.
  • Develop high level cartographic maps, analysis, reports and data extracts for staff, contractors and external organisations as required.
  • Leadership and coordination on assigned technical tasks as well as assessing relevant compliance of new or proposed solutions / services.

    In this role, you will also have the opportunity to lead a diverse team, providing coaching and mentoring to a newly formed team of professionals.

    The following is also required :

  • Tertiary qualifications or relevant Industry certifications
  • Demonstrated experience in developing GIS 3D modelling
  • Experience working with and detailed knowledge of Intramaps
  • Sound written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively and accurately to a broad range of audiences
