James Cook University (JCU) is seeking dedicated and passionate academics to join our world-class Nursing and Midwifery team. With a strong focus on regional, rural, remote, and Indigenous health, these roles are your opportunity to make a real difference through education, research, and community engagement.

We are currently recruiting for :

  • Senior Lecturer, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Nursing and Midwifery (Identified Position) – 492859
  • Lecturer, Nursing and Midwifery (Identified Position) – 492855
  • Lecturer, Nursing and Midwifery – 492856

As a valued member of our team, you’ll inspire the next generation of nurses and midwives through innovative, culturally safe teaching and research. You’ll work in a supportive, collaborative environment that values Indigenous knowledges and community connection, and is committed to improving health outcomes across the Tropics.

What You’ll Bring :

  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse or Midwife (or both)
  • A relevant postgraduate qualification (Master’s or PhD preferred, or willingness to enrol)
  • Demonstrated experience in teaching, research, or clinical leadership
  • For Identified roles : Ability to engage with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, communities, and health priorities, underpinned by a strong understanding of Cultural Safety
