About The Role

We are looking for experienced Behaviour Support Practitioners to provide life-changing therapy to NDIS participants. As a Behaviour Support Practitioner at Everyday Independence, no two days will be the same. If you were here last week, these are some of the things you may have done :

Working in the social model means you'll work in diverse settings; from homes and schools to playgrounds, workplaces, and community centresUtilizing assessment and intervention skills to support participants in achieving their goals and maximizing NDIS fundingBuilding meaningful relationships with the participants and their supports (family, carers, friends)Developing and implementing Behaviour Support Plans with function-based strategies, utilising positive behaviour support frameworkConducting Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBA)Collaborating within interdisciplinary teams to address complex behavioural challengesAttend weekly team meetings in the Hub; sharing stories of impact, coffee and laughsYou'll tap into the knowledge and support of your Team Leader and dedicated Therapy Mentor

To Work As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, You Will Have a Relevant Tertiary Qualification (Bachelor, Masters Or Graduate Diploma) And Relevant Registration Such As The Below

If you are an Occupational Therapist, you will have a degree in Occupational Therapy and AHPRA registrationIf you are a Speech Pathologist, you will have a degree in Speech Pathology and SPA registrationIf you are a Social Worker, you will have a degree in Social Work and eligible for AASW membershipIf you are a Mental Health Nurse, you'll have a degree in Nursing and AHPRA registrationYou have a degree in Psychology, Psychological / Social Science or related field

You'll Also Need

Be deemed as a Behaviour Support Practitioner by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission (evidence of letter required)Minimum 12 months experience as a Behaviour Support PractitionerA positive and flexible approach to workStrong communication skills and be a team playerCommitment to personal and professional growthA valid Australian drivers licenseNDIS Workers Screening CheckWorking with Childrens Check
