Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education Worker
St Michael's Primary School, Nelson Bay located in the Port Stephens Region, a short 45‑minute drive from Newcastle CBD, is seeking a Permanent Part‑Time (10.5 hours per week) Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education Worker to join the team in January 2026. The school serves 275 students K‑6 and values inclusive, innovative learning and the development of each student's unique talents.
Job Description
The purpose of this role is to support students, teachers and the school community in the areas of culture, spirituality, student wellbeing and engagement. You will promote the Diocese of Maitland‑Newcastle’s Reconciliation Action Plan – Reflect, liaise with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, and integrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives throughout the school.
