Overview

Aquatic Facilities Team Members (multiple positions available) – Bega Valley Shire Council

Join a dedicated team delivering essential services in libraries, customer service, engineering, parks, environment and more across the BVSC region. We offer opportunities in community pools and aquatic centres with diverse shifts and responsibilities.

About BVSC

As an AR Bluett Award winning Council, we are proud of our dedicated and talented team. With a workforce of over 350, we provide essential services to our communities, including libraries, customer service, finance, children’s services, engineering, project management, road maintenance, water management, environment, parks, gardens, and town centres.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to effective customer service, pool operations, maintenance, program instruction and pool supervision at BVSC managed aquatic facilities.

  • About You

    We are seeking individuals who have experience relevant to the operations of community pools and aquatic centres, including customer service, lifeguarding, learn to swim, swim coaching and / or gym and fitness facilities, and hold appropriate qualifications.

    Benefits

  • Seasonal casual positions with varying hours
  • Total Hourly Remuneration Package from $40.05 – $48.92 gross per hour (inclusive of superannuation and casual loading), comprising :
  • Base salary : $28.61 – $34.94 per hour
  • Casual loading : $7.15 – $8.74 per hour
  • Superannuation (12%) : $4.29 – $5.24 per hour
  • Additional benefits may include annual award salary increases and performance reviews, salary packaging (SmartSalary), wellbeing initiatives (Employee Assistance Program, LifeWorks App, social club, health monitoring and flu vaccinations).
  • Additional Information

  • Remuneration varies depending on the role undertaken.
  • These are seasonal casual positions with flexible hours.

  • Right to work in Australia and immunisation requirements in line with the Australian Immunisation Handbook, Public Health Orders and Councils Immunisation Procedure.
