About the role
Reporting to the Group General Manager, the People, Culture & Compliance Manager is responsible for leading the HR function, fostering a high-performance culture, and ensuring compliance with employment laws, workplace safety, and quality standards. This role is integral to shaping a positive, engaged, and compliant workforce that supports business growth.
Key Responsibilities :
- People & Culture
- Lead and manage all HR functions, including workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, and talent management.
- Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and strategies that support employee engagement, career development, and company objectives.
- Champion a high-performance culture by implementing recognition programs, leadership development, and performance management frameworks.
- Provide expert guidance on employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary matters.
- Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to foster an inclusive and supportive workplace.
- Act as a trusted advisor to leadership on workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational development.
- Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) Compliance
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) policies and procedures in compliance with Safe Work Australia standards.
- Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and workplace investigations, ensuring timely resolution of any identified risks.
- Lead initiatives to promote a safety-first culture, including regular training, emergency preparedness, and incident prevention programs.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 (Quality Management), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management), and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety).
- Oversee contractor and supplier compliance, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Regulatory & Compliance Management
- Ensure full compliance with employment laws, Fair Work Act regulations, and industrial relations requirements.
- Develop and oversee Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), Anti-Discrimination, and Workplace Harassment policies.
- Maintain compliance documentation and coordinate internal and external audits.
- Act as the primary contact for regulatory bodies and manage any compliance-related matters proactively.
About you
The ideal candidate will have a strong HR background, proven experience in building high-performance teams, and a compliance-focused mindset. You should be adaptable, proactive, and passionate about fostering a thriving workplace culture while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
Qualifications & Experience :
Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, WHS, Industrial Relations, or a related field.5+ years of experience in HR leadership, workplace safety, and compliance roles.Strong knowledge of Fair Work Act, WHS laws, and employment regulations.Proven experience in employee relations, talent management, and cultural transformation.Ability to develop and implement high-impact HR strategies that align with business goals.Experience with risk management, workplace investigations, and safety compliance.Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and HRIS software.Prior experience in regulated industries (e.g., construction, manufacturing) is an advantage.The benefits
