About the opportunity

At Mercy Health, each moment, no matter how small, truly matters - and as a Food Service Assistant, you'll help create cherished moments and better health outcomes for residents each day.

• Assist in the preparation, portioning, and serving of meals according to the dietary requirements and preferences of elderly residents.
• Ensure food is presented attractively and served in a timely manner to meet health and safety standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen, dining areas, and storage spaces, adhering to food safety regulations.
• Monitor food stock levels, assist with inventory management, and report any shortages or expired items to senior staff.
• Provide support to residents during meal times, including assistance with feeding or special dietary needs, and ensure a positive dining experience.
