Overview

Join to apply for the Junior School Administration Assistant role at Presbyterian Ladies' College - Melbourne .

Part-time (0.8 FTE), term-time only role supporting work-life balance. PLC is a leading independent day and boarding school in Melbourne’s leafy east with a focus on the development of the whole person, strong pastoral and co-curricular programs, and an outstanding academic tradition.

Responsibilities

  • Be the first point of call on the phone, email, and Reception office, ensuring messages are relayed to students (including after-school care, pickup, co-curricular clubs, and early dismissal).
  • Oversee the electronic marking of student attendance rolls and maintain a detailed record of the daily College Bus Roll.
  • Ensure staff, parents, and students receive accurate information in a timely manner.
  • Support the smooth and effective running of the Junior School office, as part of a busy, vibrant, and dynamic environment with staff, students, parents, and the broader community.
  • Work Tuesday to Friday between 8 : 30am and 4 : 30pm.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a front-of-house office administration role; school experience is highly regarded.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to be flexible and prioritise to meet deadlines.
  • Positive and proactive work ethic with a patient, warm, and friendly demeanour as the first point of contact for students, staff, and families.
  • Strong attention to detail, highly organized, with demonstrated IT and database management skills.
