Business Development Officer (Employer Engagement – Skilled Migration)
My client is a leading Australian migration and education consultancy specialising in employer-sponsored and skilled-migration programmes.
We partner with businesses across trades, healthcare, hospitality, and IT to source qualified overseas professionals through subclass 482 and 186 visa pathways.

About the Role
We are seeking an ambitious Business Development Officer to connect with Australian employers seeking skilled workers from overseas. Working 15 hours per week (on a flexible hybrid basis), you will drive employer outreach, build trusted relationships, and convert leads into active sponsorship agreements.
This role suits a confident communicator with a business‑to‑business or recruitment background who thrives on achieving measurable results and enjoys the freedom of working autonomously.
What You'll Do
- Engage and onboard employers across priority sectors (Trades, Healthcare, Hospitality, IT).
- Present my client's services and explain the benefits of visa sponsorship.
- Assess employer eligibility and coordinate with our migration team for SBS and nomination applications.
- Manage a pipeline of leads in the CRM and report on weekly KPI progress.
- Maintain strong relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals.

Essential
Minimum 2 years of B2B sales or recruitment experience with proven lead conversion success.Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.Strong organisational and time‑management abilities.Competence with CRM systems (Zoho, Asana, Flowlu).Self‑driven, accountable, and comfortable working remotely.Current right to work in Australia and availability to attend employer meetings in Victoria.The candidate must be able to dedicate a minimum of 10–15 hours per week to their work.Desirable
Knowledge of employer-sponsored migration (482 / 186 visas).Prior experience in migration or staffing consultancies.Qualifications in business, marketing, or migration studies.We prefer candidates with migration industry experience for this role.Inherent Requirements
