We are seeking to establish a pool of Education Assistants - Mainstream for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
Bannister Creek Primary School, 14km southeast of Perth, caters for approximately 615 children from Kindergarten to Year 6. Our near new state of the art school with 21 classrooms, 5 early childhood classrooms, a contemporary library resource centre, art and science specialist rooms, music room and a fully enclosed sports undercover area.
The school has a very strong focus on numeracy, literacy and science with whole school programs that offer contemporary learning opportunities for all students.
As a Mainstream Education Assistant, you should assist in the delivery of planned education programs, under teacher direction. Suitable applicants will ideally possess good written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills to enable the implementation of individual or small group programs, as well as the ability to support the general health and well-being of students. You should be organised and able to use your initiative to assist with the preparation and maintenance of the learning environment, while working collaboratively in a team environment.
Suitable applicants should be friendly, proactive, and confident in liaising with staff and families to provide the best support possible for students.
