Do you want to contribute your coordination, administration and communication skills to smooth running of animal welfare and pet safety education program teaching young children and families how to be safe around dogs.The Project Officer Responsible Pet Ownership performs essential administrative and logistical functions to support timely and quality delivery of the Responsible Pet Ownership (RPO) education program in Victoria and New South Wales. The RPO Program delivers pet safety and welfare messages to children and new and expectant parents via schools, kindergartens, hospitals and maternal child health centres. Classroom presentations are delivered by the Program's contracted pet educators who are accompanied by their own suitability-tested dog. This position provides administrative and logistical support to the program manager, including travel bookings, procurement, reporting, and logistical requirements for dog selection and pet educator recruitment, while managing working relationships with the Program's pet educators and administrative team. The position requires a motivated individual with strong attention to detail and people skills, who enjoys the challenge of coordinating a diverse range of activities.The successful candidate will need strong coordination skills, people skills, attention to detail, and be fluent in using Microsoft Office 365 (including Excel).Specialist / Technical Expertise / Qualifications
- A tertiary qualification and relevant experience in a similar role would be advantageous.
- Demonstrated advanced skills in using Microsoft Office 365 (including Excel) are required, as well as the ability and willingness to work with and learn new technologies.
- A current Victorian driver's license is required.This is a fixed term position available until 17 February 2026.
