The Catholic Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle is seeking an experienced and motivated Project Manager to join our Property Services team. In this role, you will help deliver a range of major and minor projects across the Diocese and support the ongoing maintenance of our assets.
Working alongside the Construction Manager and Manager of Strategic Assets, you will manage projects from inception to completion, coordinating planning, delivery, stakeholder engagement, and reporting. You’ll also prepare tenders for minor works and construction projects, oversee budgets and timelines, and confidently represent project interests with internal and external stakeholders.
With experience in construction, facilities, or project management, you will bring strong communication, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills, plus the ability to manage competing priorities and build effective relationships.
You’ll work collaboratively with colleagues across Property Services, Shared Services, and other Diocesan teams, while engaging with contractors, consultants, and the general public to support the delivery of high‑quality, community‑focused projects.

POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Project Manager will be responsible for the coordination of major and minor projects under the supervision of the Construction Manager and the Manager of Strategic Assets. The Projects Manager will also be responsible for maintenance duties / tasks across the various Diocesan assets.
The incumbent commits to working within Work Health and Safety guidelines and Code of Conduct at all times whilst in the employ of the Catholic Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle.
