Applications are invited for the post of Business and Commercial Development Manager in Royal Holloway Business School (RHBS). Royal Holloway's new strategy – RH2030s – emphasizes doing things differently with a Business Plus approach to course development and focus on industry-immersive education. Royal Holloway Business School (previously School of Business and Management), which aims to be a top 50 London based business school in Europe, is central to this strategy. The School offers education and research courses (BSc, MSc, PhD) at both the Surrey and Bloomsbury campuses and is developing an ambitious external engagement strategy, including executive education in central London, new industry-driven degrees, impactful research, placements, and experiential learning.

We seek to appoint a Business Development Manager reporting to the Dean of the Business School and the Director of Business and People Services. The ideal candidate will operate within a research-led institution, manage partnerships, propose new courses, and support outstanding student experience.

The role involves leading the development and growth of executive education, supporting new BSc and MSc degrees at the Bloomsbury campus through a market-led approach, championing external engagement activities (commercial relationships and impactful research), initiating business development opportunities, and managing client relationships.

You will have experience in managing client relationships, be results driven, and be highly organised. You will be able to identify opportunities for new courses and have an in-depth understanding of the operation of Higher Education Institutions. You will be a strong communicator and have a demonstrable ability to network and engage with relevant external stakeholders.

The post is based in Egham, Surrey where the University is situated in a beautiful, leafy campus near to Windsor Great Park and within commuting distance from London. However, you will be expected to spend time at the Bloomsbury campus, Bedford Square, London.
