About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and hands-on Zone Leader to join our team at the Hazelmere depot. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the performance, presentation, and efficiency of Team Global Express drivers operating in your zone. This includes employees, subcontractors, and casuals.
You will play an important role in making sure deliveries and pickups are completed safely, on time, and to a high standard. The role also focuses on cost-effective operations, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement. The working hours are Monday-Friday, 6 : 30–3 : 00pm

What You Will Do
Make sure all drivers operate safely and follow Team Global Express safety standards.
Lead daily toolbox talks, safety checks, and driver compliance conversations.
Manage and investigate incidents involving drivers and vehicles.
Monitor driver working hours to ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility laws.
Oversee driver appearance and vehicle cleanliness, and carry out regular audits.
Ensure all deliveries are scanned and signed for, and exceptions are followed up.
Track and communicate driver performance, daily KPIs, and route results.
Regularly review and improve driver runs for better productivity.
Plan and schedule driver activities to meet daily, weekly, and seasonal needs.
Support driver training and development to meet compliance requirements.
Manage performance fairly and support high-performing team members.
What You Will Bring
Experience in a transport, logistics, or operations leadership role.
Strong understanding of driver compliance and route efficiency.
Good people management skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
Proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
Confidence in using data to track performance and improve operations.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage conflict.
Comfortable using digital tools such as Salesforce or logistics software.
