Food is an immense pleasure, and this role will support us in ensuring that Regis meals create joy in the daily lives of our residents. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years experience working in commercial catering or Aged Care and someone that is passionate about assisting our residents with their daily needs. This role will include menu planning, catering management, ordering, quality service delivery, and continuous improvement

Role Responsibilities

The Cook will assist the Chef and / or Chef Manager with the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the Food Safety program and the preparation, cooking and provision of quality food and beverages to meet the resident’s needs and preferences. This is to ensure production and delivery of high-quality meals. This position may also require manual handling tasks to be performed that include, but are not limited to, transferring (lift, lower, carry, push, pull, slide), using equipment used for carrying objects and for manual handling of people.

The Cook is required to model and actively support both the Regis value proposition of Living with Support and the Regis values of Optimism, Passion, Integrity and Respect. You will be responsible for supervision and delivery of premium meal service including menu planning, catering, infrastructure management, ordering, quality service delivery, service delivery improvement. A strong front of house presence is required including communication with residents and families.

To work in residential aged care, you will need to provide satisfactory background checks, supply a NDIS worker screening clearance, flu vaccinations, and certification proof.
