About the Role :

Tradewind is seeking experienced Case Managers for a unique working experience in Alice Springs and NPY Lands. The Child and Family Wellbeing Case Manager will provide client-centred, therapeutic, trauma-informed case management with families who are at risk of entering, or are already within, the child protection system. You will work with families and / or carers towards preservation or reunification goals, increasing their capacity to care for their children. This role requires frequent outreach to remote communities in NPY lands.

Key Duties :

  • Deliver end-to-end family-oriented, client-centred, and culturally appropriate case management.
  • Provide or facilitate education, training, advocacy, community initiatives, and practical supports to families and carers that meet their needs and goals.
  • Work in a Malparara (together / side by side) partnership with an Anangu (Aboriginal) worker.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with relevant organisation staff such as Aboriginal Legal Services, Police Services, and Child Protection Departments Workers.
  • Administer and maintain accurate records, data collections, and reports as required by the funding.
  • Skills & Experience :

  • A tertiary or diploma qualification in Social Work, Community Services, or a related field.
  • Proven case management experience.
  • Extensive knowledge and professional experience working with children and families, and trauma-informed practice.
  • An understanding of the issues that affect the wellbeing of Aboriginal people in remote communities and an ability to work cross-culturally in partnership with Anangu staff.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a remote community or setting where flexibility and extensive travel is required.
  • Requirements :
