As a valued member of the Randstad Aged Care team, you will play a crucial role in providing essential, high-quality nursing care to residents within various aged care settings. You will have the flexibility to pick up shifts conveniently through our user-friendly app, directly assisting facilities with covering sick leave, annual leave, and other short-term staffing needs.
Your key responsibilities will include :
- Conducting comprehensive and accurate assessments of residents' physical, psychological, social, and spiritual needs.
- Developing, implementing, and contributing to individualized care plans in collaboration with residents, their families, and the multidisciplinary team.
- Safe and accurate management and administration of medications (oral, subcutaneous, intramuscular, etc.) according to facility policies and procedures.
- Providing a wide range of clinical care and performing necessary nursing procedures, such as wound care, catheter management, and pain management.
- Effectively leading and supervising Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Personal Care Assistants (PCAs), delegating tasks appropriately and providing guidance.
- Maintaining clear and effective communication and collaboration with residents, their families, medical practitioners, allied health professionals, and other members of the care team.
- Ensuring accurate and timely documentation of all assessments, care plans, interventions, and observations in accordance with legal and organisational requirements.
- Recognizing and responding promptly and appropriately to emergency situations, following established protocols.
- Implementing strategies to promote residents' overall well-being, independence, and quality of life.
- Contributing to a safe and comfortable environment for residents and staff, adhering to infection control guidelines.
To be successful in this role, you will need :
Current and unrestricted registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse.A minimum of six (6) months of recent clinical experience working as a Registered Nurse within the Aged Care sector in Australia.A current and valid Influenza vaccination (annual renewal required).Evidence of having received at least three (3) COVID-19 vaccinations.A valid and current National Police Check and / or NDIS Worker Screening Check (as required by legislation and facility policies).Why choose Randstad Aged Care?
