About the role :

This is a Fixed-Term Part-Time position at 30.4 hours per fortnight within the Physiotherapy Department until December 2026.

You will be responsible for leading the supervision and education of undergraduate physiotherapy students, through both direct supervision and education and through supporting Physiotherapy clinicians supervising students.  You will develop, deliver and evaluate education to physiotherapy staff to improve their knowledge, skills and capacity in student supervision and assessment, and develop resources to support student clinical education both within Physiotherapy and across the Allied Health Directorate.

Classification for this position will range from Grade 3 Year 1 (VB7) to Grade 3 Year 4 (VC1) (base salary $104,135 to $118,981 FTE per annum, plus superannuation).

What you'll achieve :

  • Work closely with the Allied Health Clincial Educaton team to support the development, delivery and evaluation of clinical education and training for physiotherapy students, as required, particularly supporting and maximising interprofessional learning opportunitites across RCH.
  • Apply education design principles to develop and deliver engaging learner centred educational materials for physiotherapy students.
  • Act to ensure processes, frameworks and / or support tools are in place for enhancing learning through reflection.
  • Foster a culture in which feedback is used as a postive strategy to enhance goals, awareness, and learning, and is a positive experience for those involved.
  • Contribute to systems and processes that maximise and enhance educational opportunities for Physiotherapy students.
  • Your skills and experience :

  • Demonstrated experience in supervison of students and physiotherapists.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing, delivering and evaluating education / training programs for physiotherapy students and / or staff.
  • Minimum 7 years of physiotherapy clinical experience.
  • Experience working in an acute tertiary hospital environment and / or an acute paediatric setting.
