A leading infrastructure partnership, responsible for managing and maintaining a vital metropolitan transport zone is seeking an Environmental Advisor to join their Environmental Management team.

This position supports the implementation of environmental best practices across a range of maintenance, upgrade, and construction projects within the city’s road and transport network.

You’ll be responsible for preparing and reviewing environmental assessments, conducting site monitoring, and offering practical guidance to project teams on environmental matters. The role also involves collaborating closely with government agencies, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders to maintain compliance and drive ongoing improvements in environmental performance.

Responsibilities

Drafting Environmental Assessment reports and Work Method Statements
Assisting with the implementation of Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMPs)
Performing site inspections, monitoring activities, and compiling reports
Investigating incidents and addressing non-compliance issues
Conducting toolbox talks and compliance briefings

Requirements

Must be an Australian Citizen or currently hold a permanent resident visa

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, or Engineering

At least 2 years of experience in environmental assessment or advisory roles

Practical understanding of ISO 14001 and Transport for NSW standards (G36 knowledge is a plus)

Excellent communication and ability to engage effectively with stakeholders
