About the Role

As aBuilding Surveyor at the City of Cockburn, you’ll play akey role in ensuring the safety, compliance, and integrity ofthe built environment within our community. This role involvesassessing building applications, conducting site and complianceinspections, and issuing statutory certifications in line with the Building Act2011, the Building Codeof Australia, and other relevantlegislation.

About you

You’ll bring :

• Registration(or eligibility) with the WA Department of LocalGovernment, Industry Regulation andSafety
• Knowledge of the Building Act2011, Building Code ofAustralia, R-Codes, and relevant Australian Standards
• Experiencein statutory approvals, inspections, andcompliance
• Strongcommunication and analyticalskills
• WADriver’s Licence and Construction White Card(essential)
• Localgovernment experience and Level 1 or 2 registration (highlyregarded)

Salary : Starting from Level 5 – 7, Step 1 – Step 4($93,945.24 - $118,583.27 per annum) City of Cockburn IndustrialAgreement 2025 based on qualification andexperience.

Hours : 38hours per week, 9-day fortnight
