Expected salary : $1,000 - $1,400 per week

Hero Sushi Erina are looking to add talented, friendly people to our team. We have been serving guests in the Erina Fair Shopping Centre for many years now. We are continuously looking at ways to improve what we do, to benefit our guests and our team.

We have a sushi conveyor which guests can help themselves from, picking out a multitude of sushi and Japanese style dishes. As well as a made to order Menu, giving a huge variety to choose from. We are committed to hiring local people with a customer oriented mentality. We want our guests to feel welcome, cared about and served to the highest possible standard while visiting our restaurant. We promote a team environment and are looking for people to add some individuality to our organization. Being fun, friendly and enthusiastic would be desirable! Rates may start as casual according to the Restaurant Award 2010. However, if you wish to work more, on either a part time, or, full time contract. This will also be possible after an initial period of training and building our relationship together.

If you fancy a change from working in a cafe, or another style of restaurant. Or, you have experience with some form of sushi already, you're welcome to come and meet us. We are just starting in the process of building a new era of our restaurant experience. It's going to be exciting, challenging and hugely rewarding for those involved. We are also happy to train people, who do not currently have much experience, yet, do have the right attitude and character to make something of themselves.

Key Responsibilities

Creating wonderful varieties of Sushi, including classic favourites, new innovative selections of sushi rolls, nigiri, and sashimi

Preparing a host of other dishes with some Japanese styled influence

Making the freshest, most delicious Sushi rice around to form the base of so many of our menus.

Performing your role as part of a team, with a big emphasis on TEAM. You will be supported and given some creative space to grow, and to enjoy yourself as you earn.

Ensuring our kitchen spaces are kept as well maintained as possible to enjoy working in a clean, safe place.

Depending on your experience, you will have a personal development plan to help you grow and achieve more into the future. With our beliefs in a Win Win culture, the bedrock of our community.

Ideally you would already have some commercial kitchen experience, which would then allow you to adapt to our kitchen environment with more ease. However, we are the type of institution that likes to help guide people with a good mentality to learn new skills, so that they can be more and more useful. Increasing their personal value to prosper now and in the future.
