Role Overview
We have a unique opportunity, in partnership with the National Football League (NFL), for someone to join as Social Media Manager and plan / execute the NFL’s social media strategy, driving engagement and building local fandom. This role is perfect for someone who lives and breathes digital culture, has a passion for sport (and ideally knowledge of the NFL), understands how social drives fandom, and can manage a client with confidence.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and execution of the social content calendar across all NFL ANZ channels, managing both organic and paid publishing while aligning with internal stakeholders
- Oversee social platforms, engage with audiences, manage community interactions, and stay ahead of emerging trends and platform updates
- Develop compelling, platform-native content including static visuals, short‑form videos, and reactive posts. Capture and produce content at local events and activations
- Track campaign performance, deliver actionable insights, and optimize content based on data‑driven recommendations
- Adapt global NFL content to resonate with regional audiences through culturally relevant language and comms, while maintaining brand consistency and balancing local vs. global content
- Work closely with NFL’s events, PR, creative, and digital teams to integrate social media into broader campaigns. Support influencer activations and ideation for regional initiatives
A bit about you
Proven experience in social media management with a strong passion for sport and growing local fandomGreat understanding of major platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, YouTube), with strong copywriting, community management, and visual storytelling skills to bootA creative mindset with a passion for storytelling and visual content creation. Proficient in video editing software and creating polished contentConfidence in client‑facing roles, presenting strategies and reports, while managing multiple priorities with attention to detailExperience with paid social and analytics tools a plus (Meta Business Suite, Sprout, Hootsuite, Google Analytics)What’s in it for you
