Netball Australia Tribunal Member – Expressions of Interest – Remote

Netball Australia (NA) the governing body for Netball in Australia is inviting expressions of interest from suitably qualified legal professionals and past players and officials at the Suncorp Super Netball (SSN) level or equivalent to join the Netball Australia Tribunal Panel.

About the Tribunal Panel

Members of Netball Australias Tribunal Panel play a vital role in ensuring Netball in Australia is safe fair and inclusive and is recognised for its high standards of professionalism and integrity on and off the court. Tribunal Panel Members are appointed to a Tribunal on an as needs basis to hear and determine matters referred to it in accordance with the NA Tribunal Rules including matters arising under the Netball Integrity Policy Framework ( SSN Competition & Compliance Rules and SSN and Diamonds Collective Player Agreements.

Most hearings are conducted online typically on weeknights outside of normal business hours and may be scheduled at short notice.

Roles available

NA invites applications from :

• Legal Professionals experienced solicitors barristers or other senior members of the legal profession or experienced arbitrators; and
• Netball Representatives past players or officials that have experience at the Suncorp Super Netball or equivalent competition standard.

Appointment and term

Appointments are made via a Letter of Appointment for a fixed term (typically 12 months or longer) and may be renewed at NAs discretion.

Successful applicants will be bound by the NA Tribunal Panel Terms of Reference (Appendix D to the NA Tribunal Rules) required to comply with the terms and conditions of their appointment and sign a Deed of Confidentiality.

Successful applications may also be required to hold or be willing to obtain a valid Working With Children Check and National Police Clearance.
