Summary

SEE Group have an opportunity available for an experienced Auto-Electrician to join our team, working out of our Yatala workshop.

You will be responsible for providing an effective and efficient mechanical service involving the repair, servicing and maintenance of SEE Group plant, equipment and light vehicle fleet. You will install, maintain, identify faults, and repair electrical wiring, air-conditioning and computer-based equipment in vehicles, plant and equipment. Plant includes earthmoving, crushing and screening, agricultural type equipment, light fleet and ancillary items.

The Opportunity

SEE Group have a great career opportunity available for an Auto Electrician to join our highly professional and skilled Fleet team. This is a diverse and fast-paced role, full-time at our Yatala workshop.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible and accountable for implementing asset maintenance schedules to ensure the effective utilisation of company-owned plant, fixed and mobile crushers and screens and light vehicles.
  • Carry out electrical fault diagnostics, maintenance and repair, on all vehicles, plant and equipment. Repairs or replaces defective wiring in ignition, lighting, air‐conditioning, and safety control systems.  Completes and updates the maintenance records.
  • Ensure all repairs, service and maintenance is being performed to quality standards in compliance with plant specifications, budget and schedule, as well as the relevant legislation and standards.
  • Responsible for ensuring completion of repairs, service and maintenance jobs according to schedule. Expedite and coordinate any emergency, delayed or potentially delayed repair and maintenance jobs.
  • Manage the procurement of parts and additional tools required for the service, repair and maintenance jobs.
  • Essential Skills and Attributes

  • Background in Heavy Plant, Mechanical and Electrical processes.
  • Auto Electrical Trade Certificate
  • Current Drivers Licence
  • Clear understanding of excellence in customer service.
  • Proven management skills, practices and planning ability.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple tasks and maintaining focus on priorities.
  • Highly effective skills in negotiating, evaluating and administering contracts.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
  • Computer literacy, particularly experience working with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Highly effective planning, organising and problem-solving skills together with the ability to lead, motivate and influence others.
