Legal & Compliance Manager - Nexans

We have an exciting opportunity available to join our team on a full-time permanent basis as a Legal & Compliance Manager at Nexans in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

The Legal & Compliance Manager is responsible for providing commercial and practical advice on legal, regulatory and compliance matters across a broad spectrum of corporate and commercial activities, enabling the business to achieve its strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Maintaining and enforcing Nexans Group’s General Management Procedure guidelines, Nexans standards and all regulatory requirements.
• Assist in drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts and requests for proposals.
• Provide legal advice to agreed timeframes relating to general corporate, commercial procurement contracts as well as governance and policy issues.
• Shape risk strategies and maintain a proactive business risk register to safeguard company interests.
• Act as a trusted advisor to support business leaders in identifying potential risks, upholding data protection, and compliance with local laws and Group guidelines.
