What you'll be doing

Provides strategic advice and support to Local Health District (LHD) service providers regarding MHDA (Mental Health Drug and Alcohol)) directions and services for the community, particularly those affected by ICE. Coordinating, planning, implementing, and evaluating culturally safe appropriate, evidence-based services for our people, families, and wider community.
Providing cultural, diversity and inclusive leadership and advocacy working to establish and maintain key partnerships with government and non- government agencies.

• Recognised tertiary qualification in mental health, Drug and Alcohol and/or leadership, or a combination of study and work experience that are deemed to be acceptable to the service for this position
• Demonstrated knowledge of and/ or experience working with people affected by addictions and the mental health challenges this brings.
• Demonstrated knowledge of and experience of working with NGO partners and Aboriginal community services and an ability to work in a manner that engenders mutual respect in development of effective partnerships and collaborative working.
• Demonstrated experience in leadership and the ability to contribute to projects, programs and strategic, clinical service planning processes and a commitment to developing an action plan to meet the Governments response to the enquiry on ICE.
• Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills in both verbal and written communication, managing competing priorities, maintaining attention to detail, ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and the ability to motivate and coordinate staff.
• Demonstrated skills and experience in the use of Microsoft software packages and the ability to produce reports, briefs, and quality documents.
• Valid unrestricted drivers' license for use in NSW/Australia and willingness to travel in the course of employment.
