Join us as a Locum Clinical Nurse / Clinical Nurse Specialist within our Mental Health Community vacacnies and play a crucial role in providing comprehensive care to individuals experiencing mental health crises. We are looking for dedicated nurses who can commit to contracts for a 8-12 week duration in regional and remote locations across Australia. In these dynamic locum roles, you'll work in community settings and handle case management, collaborating within a multidisciplinary team, planning patient care, administering medication, and maintaining accurate documentation.

  • About Mental Health Community Case Management Roles

    As a Mental Health Registered Nurse specialising in community case management, your role extends beyond clinical care to include :

  • Comprehensive Assessments : Conducting thorough assessments of clients' mental health needs, strengths, and challenges.
  • Individualised Care Plans : Developing, implementing, and regularly reviewing personalised care plans in collaboration with clients and their families.
  • Crisis Intervention : Providing immediate support and intervention during mental health crises to ensure safety and stability.
  • Medication Management : Administering and monitoring medication, ensuring adherence, and managing side effects.
  • Advocacy : Advocating for clients' rights and needs within the healthcare system and broader community.
  • Home Visits : Providing care in clients' homes, fostering a supportive and familiar environment for recovery.
  • Collaboration : Working closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Criteria : To excel in this role, you should possess :

  • Qualifications : Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA with no restrictions.
  • Experience : Proven background in mental health nursing, particularly in case management settings with a minimum 5 years of experience.
  • Communication Skills : Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to engage with patients and team members effectively.
  • Collaboration : Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Transportation : Valid driver's license, as it's essential for this contract role.
  • Flexibility : the ability to be away from home travel nursing to regional and remote locations for a minimum of 12 weeks at a time.
