Personal Care Worker

About this role

Kanda is currently seeking a Casual experienced support worker to join our community team in the Wollongong region of NSW to provide support and care to our clients in their homes. Must have availability for Thursday and Friday.

Regular work hours commencing at 8am. You will be required to assist clients with personal care requirements, some domestic assistance (eg, shopping, meal prep, light cleaning).

You will be required to visit multiple clients in different locations through your shift.

This is a casual position for two days / wk with the opporltunity to build upon your roster. You will be paid for the full shift, including the times you travel between clients. A 99c per KM travelk allowance between clients is included as well.

Reporting to the Clinical Manager, and with the guidance of Registered Nurses, you will receive support during your work across the community care sector.

This position requires a reliable car and full Australian driver licence.

You will need to have :

• experience, in an aged care facility, in home support, community role
• Customer focused approach to your work
• Current Cert III Aged care, Individual Care, Disability or Community Care
• Current First Aid certificate (with CPR updated annually)
• Your own reliable vehicle, fully insured and registered.
• Current police clearance certificate (within last 12 months)
• Current Working with Children Check
• Covid-19 Vaccination certificate (minimum x 2 vacinations, essential to work in aged care sector)
