Job description

The grant

The grant is to assist with placement-related expenses

i.e., transport, accommodation, meals, incidentals) for eligible placements in Semester 2 2024 :
3,375 - minimum consecutive 15 days
4,500 - 20 days
4,700 - 25-35 days
5,000 - 40+ days
Keep receipts and seek financial advice regarding potential implications for tax / income / benefits. Current employees of the department will have their grant taxed.

Eligibility

To be eligible, you must be :

enrolled in your 3rd / 4th year of an undergraduate or 1st / 2nd year of a postgraduate program

hold a

are a person who resides in Australia and has permission under a Commonwealth Law, to study in Australia.

The placement must be undertaken in a that has a transfer rating (TR) between 4-7 and is located :

at least from where you currently live to the state school, and

within Central QLD, Darling Downs-South West, Far North or North QLD, or select schools in the North Coast.

Eligible state schools are in the or the maps (below). Agnes Water, Lowmead and Wartburg in the North Coast are not eligible for the grant nor are private or independent schools.

Preservice teachers who are on PTT may be eligible if the eligibility criteria (above) are met.
