Overview

AFP, one of the world's leading news agencies, is looking for a dynamic and motivated English-language reporter to join its editorial team in Sydney.

You will be part of a team covering Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands for a global audience.

Responsibilities

The Sydney reporter must be capable of producing fast, accurate and vivid copy on stories ranging from the climate crisis, drought and bush fires to political dramas, business, economics and sport.

The successful candidate will contribute to the fight against misinformation by helping fact-checkers in the network and ensuring they are trained in the various methods of online verification, now indispensable for all journalism.
