Full-time, permanent position Location negotiable Australia wide Base salary $96K - $117K (dependent upon experience) The Role The ABC has a unique opportunity for a Freedom of Information specialist to join the tight-knit ABC FOI team on a permanent ongoing basis.

As a Commonwealth Corporation, the ABC receives FOI requests seeking access to documents that may be held by the ABC.

The FOI Officer provides high-level support to the delegated FOI decision-makers regarding the ABC's obligations under the Freedom of Information Act (Cth) 1982 (the FOI Act).

You will report to a senior FOI specialist to facilitate the ABC's responses to incoming FOI applications, prepare submissions to the regulator (the OAIC), and ensure compliance with the ABC's statutory and reporting requirements.

Position Description : 50068536 FOI OFFICER.pdf About You Proven high-level knowledge of the Commonwealth FOI Act, or equivalent, and recent high volume, fast paced FOI processing experience essential.

You will be an effective multi-tasker with a proactive work approach with an ability to meet multiple overlapping deadlines.

To be successful in this role you will bring : outstanding interpersonal and communication skills including a customer service ethos and the ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships with team members and a wide range of stakeholders whilst maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.

demonstrated extensive administrative and organisational skills, including the capacity to prioritise and effectively manage workflow, and regularly output of a high volume of information.

the ability to train ABC colleagues on the requirements of the FOI Act.

demonstrated high level proficiency with a broad range of computer-based technologies and PC applications.
