Job description

Leading Hand HD Fitter

The Opportunity :

  • DIDO Middlemount
  • Roster 7 / 7 days and nights
  • Shifts are generally 13hrs per shift for Leading Hand
  • Crew size can be between 15-30 people

The ideal candidate will be :

  • Support the Maintenance Supervisor
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations
  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety regulations and company standards
  • Lead and supervise a team of heavy-duty mechanics in daily tasks and projects
  • Mine site experience in a similar role - knowledge of QLD mining and safety legislation is required
  • Perform diagnostics, maintenance and repairs on heavy mobile plant equipment including Liebherr Electric Haul Trucks, Komatsu Electric Haul Trucks, Caterpillar Haul Trucks, Caterpillar Dozers, Graders, Liebherr Excavators, Caterpillar Excavators, Hitachi Excavators

    • To be considered you must have / be willing to obtain :

  • Australian recognised Trade Certificate,  S1,S2 and S3 and G2
  • Hold a Current C Class Drivers License, Standard 11, QLD Coal Board Medical
  • Senior First Aid Certificate
