Network Operator Water Operations (TareeTuncurry)

We currently have a vacancy at our Water Services Depot where you will be working out of both Tuncurry and Taree. If you are someone who has a Water background or relevant Trades qualification (plumber fitter mechanical) wed love to hear from you.

The role & you

As a Network Operator you will provide assistance in the response continuous operation planned and unplanned maintenance of Councils water and wastewater networks.

A typical day working as a Network Operator involves :

• Sewer pump station maintenance clearance of sewer blockages and extension of existing sewer mains
• Water main repairs valve replacements
• Responding to emergency situations such as water main breaks to ensure minimal impact for our community
• Introduction to our telemetry / SCADA systems to understand and diagnose issues within the network

The successful candidate will :

In addition you must hold or be willing to obtain the following :

General Construction Induction Card (White Card)

First Aid Certificate

Confined Spaces Statement of Competency

Excavator Certificate of Competency

Please note that to be a successful candidate for this role youll be required to complete a pre-employment medical check (this will include a drug and alcohol test sight andhearing functional and medical component)

Salary : Commencing salary package range circa $62700 p.a. to $68000 p.a. plus superannuation. (Dependent on skills and experience.)

An allowance of $133.61 per week will also apply. (Water Allowance)

Location : Upon commencement your normal place of work will be the MidCoast Councils Depot located in Tuncurry Grey Gum Road. You may also be required to be based from other Council sites across the MidCoast Council region.

Tenure : Permanent Full Time.
