About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Administration Manager to join our team. Reporting to the Practice Manager , you will play a key leadership role in managing day-to-day clinic operations, supporting administration staff, and ensuring high-quality patient service. This role is perfect for a proactive and people-oriented leader with a strong background in medical administration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to administration and reception staff.
  • Oversee rostering, awards compliance, and HR functions in consultation with the Practice Manager.
  • Ensure smooth daily operations, troubleshooting issues proactively.
  • Uphold high standards of customer service and patient care.
  • Support the implementation of RACGP standards and practice policies.
  • Manage stock, reception workflow, and administrative processes.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control procedures and workplace policies.

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior general medical practice receptionist role.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Thorough understanding of MBS items and billing.
  • Advanced Best Practice software skills.
  • Experience in rostering, HR, and operational management.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
  • Professional, friendly, and patient-focused approach.
  • Experience in the primary healthcare sector.
  • Strong computer literacy, including MS Word and Excel.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems.
