The Public Relations Officer provides support in developing, coordinating and managing the school’s Public Relations, communications and marketing / business plan needs.

You will liaise with key stakeholders in the organisation of promotional events. The successful applicant will ideally possess excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiating skills which they will utilise to work collaboratively with the Principal, members of the leadership team and various stakeholders, as required. The ability to work independently and maintain high levels of organisation, whilst working on multiple projects, will be advantageous to this role.

In addition, you will establish and maintain social media platforms in consultation with key staff, including the school’s website and Facebook page, ensuring published content is current, relevant and that associated links are active.

You will also be responsible for coordination of whole school events and creation and development of school publications.

  • Experience in assisting with coordination of events and marketing activities and associated financial management and budgeting requirements.
  • Initiative and organisational skills, including the ability to meet deadlines and prioritise tasks.
  • Sound communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Sound conceptual, analytical and research skills, including the ability to identify appropriate solutions.
  • Well-developed computer application skills.
