About the Role
Leading manufacturer in the cosmetics and personal care industry, producing and packaging products for some of Australia's most recognised brands. We are seeking an experienced and reliable Fitter to join our maintenance and production support team.
The Fitter will play a key role in ensuring that all manufacturing and packaging machinery runs efficiently, safely, and with minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities
Perform mechanical fitting, maintenance, and repair work on production and packaging equipment
Conduct preventative maintenance to minimise breakdowns and optimise machine performance
Troubleshoot and resolve equipment faults quickly to reduce production downtime
Assist with machine setups, adjustments, and changeovers for production runs
Maintain accurate service and maintenance records
Work closely with production teams to ensure equipment operates at required standards
Comply with all safety procedures and workplace health & safety regulations
Requirements
Trade qualification as a Fitter or Mechanical Fitter (Certificate III or equivalent)
Previous experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment (cosmetics, food, beverage, or pharmaceutical experience highly regarded)
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
Sound mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting ability
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
Strong communication skills and attention to detail
Flexibility to work shifts, including potential overtime and weekends when required
