Tertiary qualifications (Occupational Therapy, Social Work or Counselling) with professional registration / membership and significant clinical experience in a drug and alcohol treatment setting.For Occupational Therapy : minimum Bachelor degree and registration with AHPRA.For Social Work : minimum Bachelor degree and eligibility for membership of AASW.For Counselling : ACA L3–4 registration or PACFA Clinical Registrant status.For a psychologist : four‑year degree (or three‑year degree plus an honours year) and full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia, with clinical experience in a drug and alcohol setting.Ability to build relationships with all stakeholders, plan and organise effectively, and demonstrate strong clinical reasoning skills.Proven experience in evidence‑based drug and alcohol psychosocial assessment, individual / group interventions, case management and referral services in a public health setting.Advanced communication skills and computer literacy.Capability to assess, identify, manage and escalade clinical and operational risk within a treatment setting.Collaborative approach to multidisciplinary teamwork and knowledge of evidence‑based clinical handover processes.Commitment to working with Aboriginal patients, families and communities, and improving health outcomes for socially disadvantaged groups.Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel for work purposes.Employment of a temporary visa holder is only considered if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia is available.NBMLHD is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment.
