About The Job

The Data Analyst will develop and maintain reporting systems for AFL clubs, media partners and the broader sports industry. The role includes providing internal analysts with new reporting systems, maintaining existing systems and fulfilling stakeholder obligations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage requests from Sports Analysts
• Develop enhanced reports to allow Sport Analysts and clients to tell the story of the game in a detailed manner
• Continue to find ways for Champion Data to stay ahead of the game with reporting and analysis on sports
• Work with the Data department to develop new metrics and stat definitions
• Provide editorial support for media clients and internal analysts
• Devise, document and coordinate AFL club research plans
• Client management and research for agreed AFL clubs, covering their analysis, recruiting and training requirements
• Client management and research for agreed sports, covering their analysis
• Complete AFL and Tier 2 capture roster shifts when required
