Eurofins Environment Testing Australia is an Environmental testing network of fully accredited laboratories. With a staff of over 300, our laboratories are located in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane and with Client Service Offices located in Adelaide, Darwin, Newcastle and Wollongong. We also operate field sampling services out of Melbourne and Sydney. We specialise in all areas of Environmental analysis, including Contaminated Soil, Sludge, Sediments, Leachate, Soil Vapour, Trade Waste Effluents, Sewage Effluents, Stack Emissions, Work Place Air, Ambient Air, Dust, Drinking Water, Surface Water run off, River & Stream Monitoring, Seawater, and Groundwater.

Job Description

  • Full time position based in South Australia.
  • Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm.
  • An extra 1.5% superannuation paid on top of National standard rate.

Reporting to the Business Unit Manager, an Analytical Services Manager will be responsible for liaising with clients, reporting results and issuing invoices in a timely fashion, to meet the client’s expectations.

Key accountabilities will include but are not limited to :

  • Liaising with clients in the form of phone, email, and client visits.
  • Providing assistance to clients in regards to responding to queries, coordinating sample container orders and sample pick-ups.
  • Meeting client expectations in regards to service and quality.
  • Organising report work lists to ensure reporting to clients in a timely manner, including following up on result progress with lab staff and with subcontract labs where needed.
  • Communicating with clients where reporting times may be delayed.
  • Reviewing report login to check for any errors, communicating with clients to resolve any login issues.
  • Checking report results and organising result confirmations required with lab if any results look amiss.
  • Generation, review, editing where needed, and issuing of reports.
  • Generation, review, editing where needed, and issuing of invoices.
  • Logging client and internal queries in QS1020 Client Queries – Complaints register.
  • In satellite office locations, duties also involve overseeing day-to-day satellite office running and other staff onsite.
  • Being able to grow market share in SA.
  • Prepare and assist quotes and tenders.
  • Support Business Development team at conferences.
  • Support awareness of industry regulations and guidelines.
  • Support Client Maintenance.
  • Qualifications

    To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will obtain the following :

  • Tertiary qualifications in Science and / or Laboratory Techniques.
  • Extensive experience is required for this position, and as a minimum, 5 years of lab experience (preferably in multiple lab sections) is required to perform this role.
  • Alternatively, the person must have a minimum of 8 years of Client Services experience.
  • Good knowledge of standard office applications, especially MS Word, MS Outlook and MS Excel.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to structure thoughts deliberately, logically and directly.
  • Strong numeracy and financial skills.

  • General preference and comfort in technical environments.
  • Desire to continually learn and improve.
  • Driving license required : Yes, local land-based travel is required.
  • Additional local, national and international travel.
