Mechanical Engineering (Maintenance Fitter)

Ai Group Apprentice and Trainee Centre, alongside our Host company, are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Maintenance Fitter Apprentice in the southern suburbs of Adelaide.

• Duties may include
• Operate and adjust production machines
• Run diagnostic checks, and troubleshoot to identify problems in production
• Design new components and systems using CAD / CAM systems
• Repair machines and build components in repair of facilities
• Use programs to monitor machine processes and performance
• Perform changeovers / setups, preventative maintenance, and fault finding
• Examine and evaluate specifications for the requirements for a task
• Operate and adjust machines to create parts or tools by turning, boring, milling, shaping, slotting, grinding, or drilling metal stock or components
• Cut, thread, bend, and install hydraulic and pneumatic pipes and lines
• Set up and / or operate hand and machine tools and welding equipment
• Ensure accuracy and quality of finished parts, tools, or sub-assemblies
• About You
• Must be an Australian Citizen or permanent resident with the right to work in Australia
• Completion of Year 10 High School
• Drivers Licence desirable but not essential
• Willing to undertake police check and pre employment medical if required
