Sydney Hospital is Australia's first hospital and dates from the arrival of the First Fleet in 1788. The Hospital is in the heart of the Central Business District in Sydney within easy walking distance to public transport. For staff who drive to work subsidised parking is available on site.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Registered Nurse in SESLHD, you will be an integral part of the interdisciplinary team in the provision of person‑centred care; and leading, supporting and supervising other nurses/ midwives and care roles. You will strive to ensure that the people who receive healthcare experience exceptional care that is person‑centred, safe, high quality and compassionate.

As a Registered Nurse in SESLHD you will be recognised as a healthcare professional employing your clinical skills and critical thinking in delivering high quality patient care.

Selection Criteria

• Registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse.
• Demonstrated recent clinical experience as a Registered Nurse that applies to an acute hospital setting
• Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills and be able to identify key messages, issues and concerns when communicating with others.
• Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team and apply professional and ethical boundaries when dealing with complex situations.
• Current computer skills and proven ability to use health information systems.
• Demonstrated ability to advocate for and implement person‑centred practice.
• Demonstrated application of evidence‑based practice and critical thinking to patient care.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritise and organise own workload.
