About The Role
We are looking for experienced Behaviour Support Practitioners to provide life-changing therapy to NDIS participants. As a Behaviour Support Practitioner at Everyday Independence, no two days will be the same. If you were here last week, these are some of the things you may have done :
- Working in the social model means you’ll work in diverse settings; from homes and schools to playgrounds, workplaces, and community centres
- Utilizing assessment and intervention skills to support participants in achieving their goals and maximizing NDIS funding
- Building meaningful relationships with the participants and their supports (family, carers, friends)
- Developing and implementing Behaviour Support Plans with function-based strategies, utilising positive behaviour support framework
- Conducting Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBA)
- Collaborating within interdisciplinary teams to address complex behavioural challenges
- Attend weekly team meetings in the Hub; sharing stories of impact, coffee and laughs
- You’ll tap into the knowledge and support of your Team Leader and dedicated Therapy Mentor

To work as a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will have a relevant tertiary qualification (Bachelor, Masters or Graduate Diploma) and relevant registration such as the below :
If you are an Occupational Therapist, you will have a degree in Occupational Therapy and AHPRA registrationIf you are a Speech Pathologist, you will have a degree in Speech Pathology and SPA registrationIf you are a Social Worker, you will have a degree in Social Work and AASW membershipIf you are a Mental Health Nurse, you’ll have a degree in Nursing and AHPRA registrationYou have a degree in Psychology, Psychological / Social Science or related fieldYou’ll also need :
Be deemed as a Behaviour Support Practitioner by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission (evidence of letter required)Minimum 12 months experience as a Behaviour Support Practitioner
